Windom, MN
We ran an 863 on a 1440 for many years. We got along okay, but we did drive slow. The 20' flex head was worse in tough soybeans, would lose power fast and couldn't run much past dark when the vines got tough. Dad always felt if it had a turbo, it would be an awesome machine.

Depending on the 1620, whether it is an IH engine or Cummins engine, you may have more or less hp (the cummins has more) than our old 1440. The grain tank is small, you will be unloading a lot. I should note the last time we ran this setup was 1997, and corn yields have increased quite a bit in that time.
