Central Missouri | There is a lot of corn out there compared to last year. The top is being knocked off a bit right now and pp acres are still up in the air but compared to last year there is a lot of corn in the U.S. The difference I see is that we had a huge run-up last year on uncertainty in yields. A lot of that uncertainty is gone already this year. Now beans are a different story as uncertainty is still high as the next 2-3 weeks of weather will determine a lot as it pertains to bean yields. The point of all of this is that a lot of the volatility creating uncertainty is out of the corn market. Some still remains in the beans. | |
