The only thing wrong was calling him a jerk.    Greedy is the correct term.    I was a little too greedy also, I still have a few beans that should have been sold last fall.

Same applies to the guys that were holding corn waiting for $10.

Apparently the local crush plants are getting beans bought for $14 and change as they keep moving the basis around keeping the cash price right between $14 and $14.30 or so.

$14 for beans is still a "good price".     How many years have you been offered $14 at any time during a market year let alone most of the year?
