Not looking good to be short beans for sure. This keeps up kiss 40+ goodbye, we will be somewhere around 37 for a final yield. August is turning it to one of the driest in history. Corn is in damage prevention mode. We will not add one bushel to this crop with a rain now. It's keeping what you have.

 

How about this corn.  Need a drink?  It was 11' tall 185 bu corn, now it's 130.  Sandy loam soils need more than 1.5" of rain in 50 days from V8 to Dent.
