| Just from what I've heard from some people who have been there, but it's pretty safe. All the religions that hate the other love our tourist dollars so it seems that the "standard" tourist sites are off limits for any terrorist activity. There is a guy named Rick Steves who does a travel show on PBS. He's done a few shows on the mid east and has some great advice. Might not hurt to look his stuff up. There are several larger churches and Christian organizations who make regular guided trips over there as well. Not sure I'd want to go on my own, but a guided trip would be fun.
