Yep, flies will carry it with them and those little buggers travel more than you might think.

Permethrin-treated rubbers and curtains really take down the fly population, but nothing will get them all.

Check the Vitamin A level on your mineral. The farm store stuff I was using had (I think) 200,000 IU/lb and the stuff I'm getting now has 300,000. IU/lb I've been told that making sure the cattle are getting enough Vitamin A is the the best preventative.

Anyway, I have 6 cases of it and since I switched mineral and started adding aeuro to it about a week ago, I haven't had any new cases. (Knocking on wood). I don't think the aeuro helps prevent it, though, but it should help the infected ones heal up better.
