SW Ontario | Well, what is right for one farmer, is not right for another.
I am still young, 39 (is that young??), and I have BIG debt. My long term plan is to get all these farms paid for at some point in my life and have options to enjoy life.
Having said that, I am 90% sold corn at 4.75 cash off the combine for 08. I might be the low price seller in the end BUT I can live with that as it goes with my long term goals. What I could not live with is watching these high prices evaporate when I knew I could have sold at a big profit.
You older guys will have a much different plan than I do...we can all be right in one way or another.
