the same set of cows then their pecking order is established.

breeding season over so they get along fine.

IF your mixing bulls: say 2 bulls from one set of cows, 1 bull from another set, and 2 from yet another set then they're likely to scrap some to establish their pecking order ( reason is they are strangers to each other from being run in different pastures ).

I'd just leave the bulls with the cows.
Take em off late late fall or early winter.
That's when they need extra feed and bulls generally are cool attitude ( because they're just concentrating on staying alive then ) in cold weather anyway.

Bulls will starve to death on the same country where cows make a pretty decent living.

( bulls have a higher metabolic burn rate than cows )
