These are beautiful crocks, and very functional too, beats the piece of wood and stone to keep the pickles submerged in the brine. I never made such small pickles in brine though, I used to pickle them even smaller, in "cornichon" sizes, in vinegar, they are great with "charcuterie" (pâté and cured sausage) and pickle much bigger ones in brine.
