Subject: what precision equipment to buy?

Claremont,MN
we are looking at getting into precision ag starting this fall. just wondering what is the best way to go. we have all different brands of equipment, a few JD, a Challenger and some older stuff also. what we where thinking is getting a yield monitor (9600 JD) to start with to do maps. for this we would need a GPS so we would probably just get a lightbar right away also and use it for the gps and for spraying(counting rows). it also looks like we would need some kind of software to make the maps.
currently thinking pf advantage and ez-guide light bar. could also go G* or insight but figured it would be more expensive but may be able to do more with it.
so are those my only options and what would be the best way to go being uncertain about future plans and what is the best software and what do you use it for other than yield maps
