Sandy Hook, MB | tci184 - 7/22/2013 20:10 Thanks. They were born the middle of May. Going to feed them out this year. Never done it before so should be a learning experience
Hello Tci184
Good looking cattle. Nothing wrong with taking them from calf to slaughter. Every time cattle change hands, from the cow/calf guy, to the backgrounder, to the finisher, there's money to be made. Sure you may not be as efficient as the big boys with their economies of scale, their own vets & nutritionists on staff, but you save a lot on shrink & stress when those cattle only leave the farm once, on their way to the slaughter plant. |
