North Mo.
<p>The switch to later calving came with other adjustments. The Ra venscrofts needed to do some major culling the first few years after converting to summer calv- ing. Because the summer-fresh- ened cows were now eating lush grass instead of stored hay, they produced more milk. Cows with poor udders soon developed prob- lems and had to be culled.
