The Newton track is a great track.  The Iowa Corn Growers Association has sponsored the Iowa Corn Indy 250 featuring open wheel racing since the track opened.  I have attended every Iowa Corn 250 and in 2009, when I was president, I had the privilege of waving the green flag at the beginning of the race.  It was an aw some feeling standing in the flagman's box right above the cars and watching the cars come around the 4th curve for the final time.  You wave the flag and the engines rev up right in front of you and it sounds like all hell just broke loose.  One of the moments you will never forget.
