Nice pictures Dave a question comes to mind..... What do you use the small squares for/or why make them if you have a round baler or is it just that one spot were small squares just work so much better then a round bale?

We have only had the round baler a few years, and could use mostly BR bales. However we kind of like putting 5 or 6 sm sq's in backhoe bucket (thats all we need per feeding) and dump in tmr wagon. Until this past winter we have sold extra sm sqs to horse people also. It takes awhile to grind up a BR in vertical mixer then spit out what you don't need for that feeding, but you certainly get alot more baled per hour with the round baler ! We have owned the sm sq baler since 1981 and the bale wagon was bought used about that time so they don't owe us anything...... so we just bale as many small bales as we can !
