We had 400 5/8 holes through 3/8 thick 12 inch piling steel with hand drill on a project. You have to figure out a way that works pretty good. I got pretty good at sharpening bits. Your bits have to be sent off to sharpen, right? Tapered reamer will move a lot of steel. Mine is bent and dull, though.
