Jim,
I am sure tedding helps a lot which is something we did not do when we used to bale oats. Don't let the looks fool you, it looks so dry on the top pretty quick after mowing but it is really hard to get it dry enough to bale it dry. The weather looks to be pretty good so hopefully it will work OK.
