Only if people stop eating cereals, meat and the world stops buying.

We can have a recession and it will not affect my income/life 2 cents.  Why.

Recession is when you loose a job and can not find another in your area of work.  Mfg., service industry, ect.

If there is a decrease in farm commodity prices or in the 1980's, greatly reduced gov. program $ it will affect the farming communities greatly. If I do not have it, less gets spent.  Does not stop, just less is spent and the retail people feel it in the community.

It is almost like two different worlds to me.

Now inflation affects everybody who spends money or will spend money.  That is a different story.

I see very little affect to the general farm economy from a recession.
