western iowa,by Denison | switching over to earlage and was feeding some starting off the top of the stave silo-all at once I hit gold-the earlage went from not so good to excellent feed and didn't get my ration adjusted fast enough-feed in the bunk and a few grumpy cattle-with pouring concrete and everything going on was a quick slap in the face-cattle were up to 60#a head on the silage-todays feeding was 36# total and things look a little better-talk about not paying attention-I knew that earlage was potent-after sitting down at noon and doing my dry matter intake I see where I screwed up-thinkin I might need to start going to a feed sheet!I'd fire myself but haven't found anybody to work for $4 a hour! | |
