tried one time without screen or chaffer but didn't work , just to much trash for the clean grain leg . however did have good success by taking the screen and chaffer out and putting in a piece of plywood full of 3inch holes . figerd I got about 85% of the cobs and some trash . made nice feed but was slow going , snaplage is faster .
