The pasture recovers pretty quickly. It's actually still there, but the cows won't eat the dirty grass until they have to. Hate to say it, but more rain actually makes the situation better as long as it isn't enough to bring the creek out again. Biggest deal for me is I normally make hay out there too so now I have to either buy a couple of semi loads of hay or sell good bred cows. In the current market I'm thinking it will be more selling than buying this time around.

As for frogs, I'm always raising those guys. Water comes from the sky and the ground here so it doesn't matter if you're in a drought or flood you can't get to sleep at night until you're accustomed to the noise :)
