you could build a settling catch basin. basically it is a concrete pit which you will eventually dip the solids out of. every 10 feet or so the walls that divided each cell come up almost to the top of the water level.(maybe 6-8 in from the top).

The cleaner water is on top of each cell and flows into the next cell and the solids fall to the bottom. I think 6 or so of these cells in series does a lot to clean up the water. When placed between a building and a pond the Settling tank becomes the first stage and the pond is then second stage. The water coming out of the pond is very usuable for irrigation.

I am just throwing out an idea without knowing more about your set up it is hard to say what would work best for you.
