Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I like your comments. Definately worth thinking about. I would agree...$5.50 corn is definately a possibility. I'm not so sure it won't go higher than that if any problems arise. Wheat, same thing...$9.00, no question. Beans at $18.00..maybe.
What has occured with wheat could very well happen with corn and beans. Wheat went higher than anyone thought it could. I think most thought $6.00 would be tops. It goes well past $9.00. 50% past what we thought. We're saying 5-6 on corn. If it goes 50% over that we could see $7.50 to $9.00 corn. $12.00 or so was the previous all-time high in beans...50% above that is $18.00. Wheat price shocked a lot of us. I just have a hunch corn and beans will eventually shock us at some time also. |
