Historically, the soybean basis should increase between now and May 15th. BUT, carry and handling (there is always some shrink in handling soybeans) & margin calls....costs significantly more for $12 beans than $5 beans which is reflected in the basis....& in a sharply advancing market the basis will always drag simply because there will be sales on a scale up by producers.
so what about bean basis
