Had the same on both 9500 & 9550, Bearings on variable sheeve top left side of feeder house. They can run a long time while noisy but not totally fail. Change them out .... much quieter and suppose they will fail bad at 8pm on a Saturday night.
Jk SCLA is right the grease is not for the bearings.
