| The bean meters are totally different. I doubt round beans will stay under the fingers so the finger meters will probably underplant. If you set for 40K population you will want to run under 4 mph to keep the meter speed down though at higher than rated speeds it tends to overplant which may be desireable in beans.
The original JD bean meters were cups that kind of worked on volume, didn't count beans. Kinze bean meters fit and work a great deal better at counting beans.
Test it before you go plant. With beans in the hoppers, turn the drill shaft that runs all the row units one turn and count the beans on the ground under each unit. The once all are dropping beans clean up the ground or floor and turn it one more turn and count again. If it works there will be 12 beans under each row and none will be flattened.
