Beresford, SD | If you have insurance and final plant date for corn of May 31.......turn in claim as failed corn and turn in a claim for replant corn! If you have any stand at all the adjuster will probally make you replant to corn for 25 days after the final plant date which would be June 25th after that go ahead and plant beans and do NOT INSURE them......this is called 1st crop 2nd crop! Make sure you have clearance from the Insurance company before doing anything.......if all would work out you could collect your corn crop ins and still possibly have 20-30 bushel beans this fall.....I have seen this first hand as an agent. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR DUCKS IN A ROW ON THE INSURANCE. | |
