Subject: RE: Small square bailer?

New Brunswick, Canada
Something wrong with your baler, even my old 336 that has who knows how many bales through it, likely 500,000+ and will bale 5000 bales for me a season and only miss a couple of ties at most. Besides twine it gets the chaff scooped out to reach the grease fittings on knotter and thats it. Compared to the neighbours NH's with the chain driven teeth thing far fewer banana bales and much fewer as in no pickup problems. I will say my JD 348 can't keep up to a NH 575 or 5070 as JD has stopped small square baler design work about 40 years ago and only included minor updates.

And the JD won't tie as well as the NH, it will have more misses, due to a design 'flaw' that allows hay to accumulate and change the tucker position.  With time they won't catch the strings, easy to fix (clean) but a pain to get off every few bales and do it.
