Subject: Garmin GPS in POV

Little River, TX

Saturday we drove 150 miles up I-35 to just the other side of Fort Worth.
I-35 can be a real mess ! Poor thing, every 20 miles it would announce "recalculating - recalculating"

So I put in our Daughter's Home but also programmed it to avoid all Interstate travel. Also muted the audio.

At 8 am the traffic was good so we drove all the way on I-35. All the way the little toy was giving us directions to an alternate route, off the interstate system.
Going and coming on that well known route, I believe I will utilize the stay off of the Interstate Navigation mode for a quick reference in case the Interstate becomes a parking lot.

If or when I get a new GPS, one with Traffic Warning, & a 7" display, I will keep this one to take over, if the alternative route is needed.  Currently I also have an older out of date GPS up to provide a Big Picture on display, plus it has where Dutch Lives.
