SE Kansas | Thanks Jim- that was my original thinking when I got started. Have my Herf herd with Herf bull building my factory either using for spring or fall calving and use the black bull on the other herd to sell as open or bred (but I'd need to get another black bull).
I've met some nice people on other boards that are less than an hr from me that raise the same Trojan bloodlines as my first set of heifers. Trojan is an older line and they are trying to build another herd on different lineage and they've got 8-9 L1/Felton bulls that I'm anxious to look at. Hopefully I will have some pics soon to share.
