Subject: Re: Vaccum issues on CIH1200 planter

We did put a new hyd motor on when we were using the 8045 plates and the planter worked ok.

Then we switched to a different variety (2500seeds/lb) so we put the 13045 plates back in and we were getting 14-16 ounces of vaccum and we were really happy.

6 hrs later the hyd motor siezed up. Then got my no till drill out.

My dealer has not had time to take the siezed motor apart to see if we just had a bad motor or if we broke it.

We use a big pto pump with a flowcontrol valve and my thought is that we can push more oil to the hyd motor so we can get the vaccum were we need it, but the motor could not really handle it and we wrecked the motor.
