| I got a Ritchie in a horse pen, I think it will stand up fine but Mine does freeze up once in a while. Nothing ever breaks but I have to keep an eye on it. It has a heat tape on it, well sort of looks a little wimpy to me. I also put it on existing concrete,if yours is over a pit that should help, if you can get the lid seeled up good. maybe put some snow oe straw around and let the cattle pack in in?
