Nova Scotia | Well, I did go to see the guy and made it clear that I was not pleased with what he did. I wasn't hopping mad or anything, but was stern with him. He was very unreasonable at first and didn't think he did anything wrong and told me to get off his property, but he did call me a short while later apologizing.
If it had been an emergency and someone was trapped or something and they needed the tractor, I would have been OK with it. The truck's still there so couldn't have been an emergency.
The chain was his, glad no one was hurt when it broke.
I don't think pressing charges is in the cards, especially with the need to cross his land.
Insurance headaches and the possibility of someone getting hurt were my two main concerns. | |
