North/Central Kentucky | Great question. Broadcasting or using the planter in its current state (putting a row of fertilize on top of the ground) would allow me the time to build the new toolbar and put the Yetter (perhaps) single openers on the new toolbar. I feel that I may not have the time to get it built and working by the time I need to put the corn in the ground if I try to do it this year. My goal is to build this planter into one that will no-till or plant in tilled ground without making changes. It's a work in progress, but I've rebuilt the meters, the closing wheel arms, the depth wheel arms and the markers. It's starting to look like a really nice machine. Then the fertilize openers hit me a lick. | |
