East central Iowa
I put a TSR on our 1480 and was well satisfied with it in bean straw. Yes, the biggest part is to get the stuff spread evenly. I had the May-Wes double fan spreaders on but the chopper threw the straw hard toward the back of the combine and quite a bit of it seemed to miss the spreaders. I was going to put a deflector inside the back but sold the combine. I liked still being able to access the sieves without having to disconnect part of the chopper. But the Redekop will do the job!
