Central Illinois
Coochief
We had one day of rainy weather and went to yellowtail one afternoon. Everything we cut was dry land wheat. I can't remember the name of the ranch but I was working for Balzer and Neufeld harvesting out of Buhler, Kansas. The main thing I remember was the size of the fields we cut on that ranch they made a half section here look like a little patch. It was pretty country compared to central Illinois. I do remember the big bud they had that we used to disk around the fields we were cutting, that was pretty neat as well. We were also cutting with S & L farms out of Nebraska as well. If I remember right they had about 13 or 14k acres of wheat with the other 13 or 14k in summer fallow. I'll text one of the guys on the crew and see if he remembers the name. I will definitely look you up if we make back up that way.
