Mather, Manitoba | Hit the brakes as hard as you can and hope to get slowed down. If brakes are up, 50mph and loaded legally you should get slowed down promptly. That's what an big rig instructor will teach you. Staying in your lane and hit the brakes is the legally correct answer.
This insurance job is from a person that committed suicide in Alberta. Semi is based in Manitoba. Vehicle pulled out in front of the semi and had head on collision. Found suicide note in the vehicle. I'll try and post picture.
If you're loaded and you pull it hard, to either direction you can bust the springs on the steering axle and you'll go over... yes it can and has happened.
