| The "trend" you are seeing in depreciation cost is a reflection of the reliability of these Japanese brands. American vehicles just did not compare a few years back. Consumer Reports has noted an increase in American cars reliability in the past 3 years or so, but even that is not general on all models, that's why I value their annual car publication. It's fun to make your own stats, but you don't have the same exposure to dozens of models all over the years that CR does, and previous ownership's care could play a much larger factor in the few local sales you looked at. | |
