Sorry, I can't help you with the vehicle question, but if you don't mind, I am curious about where you're going in Germany.  Both the husband's and my families originated there, and I"d love to make a trip over some time to see the areas where they were.  Husband's family came from the Perl area, and mine came from the Palistine area.  Hope you have a great trip, it sounds like a terrific opportunity!!
