| we traded for a used one this spring & while taking it to the field the first time the r.h. transport wheel spindle snapped off. Being high centered & narrow wheel based it then laid over on the side & tore up most of the units!! You can buy a $300 weld on spindle which is the same size as the one that broke, or buy a new complete axle assy. for $ 3000 (same size spindle & hub) or for $5000 the new & improved assy. with heavier spindles & hubs. The spindles now slide into the tube & are retained with a bolt like a grain cart uses. Last but not least the transport tires are about $ 1200 EACH !! | |
