If it was me, I wouldn't treat him at all. My guess is he will be sore for a while, but will be fine. I would let him sleep on it and re-evaluate tomorrow. I would definitely agree on the idea of giving him dry bedding.

My wife told me one of my yearling bulls got himself stuck in tire feeder today. I just stood there drawing a blank for a minute trying to picture what she was talking about. Apparently he climbed inside of one of the inside-out tractor tires I have in the pen (which I'm not using currently) and laid down. Somehow he got one of his front legs under the tire and couldn't stand back up because he's too big to lay down in it so he was laying ON it. Why he did that when there's plenty of dry bedding for him to lay in, I haven't a clue. Guess I have to take those two tires out of there tomorrow. Now with your post, I'm thinking maybe I should build a padded room for keeping yearling bulls in!?
