auctions here need at least four weeks before you can sell after live vacs. We usually treat after weaning sometime in early fall, and string calving in from Jan - May ish so its easy to take em off on the grass like you say. Guys will say you get higher mortality calving through the spring, and the weather can hurt you. Requires closer mgmt, but the payback is better on the grass in the summer
