NASCAR cars are limited on speed by all sorts of rules, they have to be because they are so unstable at speed due to their 'stock car' look. Let the mechanics in pit row have at them for a week and you'd have a rocket ship, then on race day you'd have a rocket ship flying in the grand stands. As others have posted, they are good at what they do, go fast and turn left.
