Windows messenger is now Skype, or rather they are migrating @hotmail @live and @outlook.com systems to all function through Skype so you can just use one of those 3 login's to use Skype the way I understand it while still having compatibility with Yahoo and Facebook messengers as well. I have been a long time user of Skype an Windows Live messenger (even back in the MSN days) IMO Skype is great (best??) for video and voice but kinda sucks in the IM (instant messenger), file and picture sharing also no integration with email servers (yet) so it doesn't notify you of emails while logged in on Skype like Windows live did.
Bottom line I find Skype very reliable for voice and video (unlike Windows live that could be kinda iffy sometimes) |
