Zabcikville, TX
Crazy weather here too. Windy every day, lows in upper 30's some nights, mid 80's for highs two days later. Most corn in this area took over 2 weeks to come up. A lot of frost damage occurred Fri night, some corn even dead. And all of these 80-90% rain chances over the last few weeks yielded a whopping 1 or 1.5in of rain. The pasture needs a couple inches, wheat a couple inches, and it wouldn't hurt the corn if it got some either. Most corn in the area looks good (except what got frosted the other night) good color and trying to grow. I think its confused, doesn't know whether to grow or not. Definitely not a typical year for us "down here" either. Sorry to hear of you guys woes up there. We all do it for the same reason, and it always hurts.
