Portland, ND | We have a 90 hp Aeronca champ that fits the bill perfectly. Easy 5-800 feet with one person, longer takeoff if two people. They are cheap as far as airplanes are concerned, with the early 7AC or 7BCM or 7CCM being the most expensive because of light sport. If you are a small person, the chief side by side models are cheaper than the tandem champs.
The LSA champs are in the 25k area, with the chiefs closer to 15K. | |
