| Been working on our estate plan. Putting land in a trust for children and grand kids. Wondering who to use for a trustee? None of our heirs are farmers so they will not know what land rent should be. After I'm gone I don't want the rents to be super high but reasonably good. Local bank has a trust department that is probably the best. Neighbor tells of mother in law living off trust income and after many years began complaining of low income. Neighbor looked into it and found that local bto was renting for $100 per acre in a $400 environment. This was the local bank doing this. How do I avoid this from happening? | |
