Subject: RE: Common sense calf shelter

Driftless SW Wisconsin

I like the Common Sense products. I've had a couple of their bale feeders for several years and they look like they will last many more years. They are well built and hold up well over time. The cost is very reasonable if it lasts twice as long as a slightly cheaper product. Calf shelters like this are moved regularly. They have to be built tough to be handled with a loader. You don't clean them out, just spread some fresh bedding and move the shelter over it. The main difference in price between Runnings and picking up at the factory is freight. Depends on how you value your time and trucking. Freight is not cheap no matter who does it.
