Southwest OK
I wouldn't say we've had "a bunch" of rain. I have recieved 1.5 inches in the last two days, that is a long way from enough. I still have a pond that has not caught any runoff in three years. Many other ponds have water that will be undrinkable the first week of 100 degree days we get because they are so low. My native pastures will not be completely healed for at least two more years even if we get average rainfall from here on out. Granted the winter grass has come on and the country side looks green, but there is more than one reason it is called cheat grass. This flush will be gone soon and nothing will be left to eat.
I would like to see the cow market rally, but I think it will be short lived unless it keeps raining.
