| Sorry for not making myself clear about modem problems I had recently trying to find a right initial string to get a true connecting speed on my dialup. I modified the string so many times that I lost the count. Finally I put it back to a modem default string. Surprisedly the true connecting speed showed up on the modem icon on the bottom corner screen....42.6 kbs.
