I've never used a commercial type but my neighbor has a shop with a heated concrete floor. I've taken calves up to his place (he also dairies) and by the time I go and get a bottle of colostrum warmed up the calves are warmed up and most the time up and about. I've taken afew that were covered in mud and felt like an ice cube. This has always worked for me.
Need some advice on a calf warmer...
